Learning Intention W.A.L-how to write persuasive writing.

Success Criteria: I  know I am successful when I can persuade my reader to agree with my arguement.

I think we should not watch television whenever  we wanted to.

I think we should not watch television whenever we wanted to because, kids can have bad eye sight as well for parents. Children should not watch television because some programs has bad words and fighting. Some children watch too much T.V and forget to do their home work. Sometimes kids watch scary movies and get nightmares.

But, sometimes I think television help us learn some things. 

We should watch television sometimes, because some teaches us how to make arts and crafts and how to make things. It tells us about what will be the weather for the day. I think we should watch television sometimes because it helps us to relax.

Multiplication by Deva

Learning intention:W.A.L.T-multiply numbers up to 100.
Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can multiply skip counting,doubles and repeated addition.


Problems:How many marbles are there altogether?                       1)  2 children had 10 marbles each=20  
 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20= I skip counted by 2 10 times.

2)Poppy, Sam and Emma have five marbles each. How many marbles do they have altogether?  15
I know its 15 because I skip counted by five's- 5,10,15.
I multipllied- 5x3=15           
3)Bently ate 3 packets of biscuits. There are ten biscuits in each packet. 30 
I know its 30 because I multiplied-10x3=30. 
I skip counted by my ten's-10,20,30 



                                                           

Should we cut down trees-by Deva

Learning Intention We are learning how to write persuasive writing.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can persuade somebody with my writing 

I think we should cut down trees

People should cut down trees so we can build houses out of the wood.  I think people should cut  down little pieces of wood to make pencils. We cut down trees to make furniture.

People can make chairs out of wood. I think people should cut down trees to make ladders. People cut down trees to make wooden doors.

We can make fences out of wood. People can make wooden rulers.We cut down trees to make wooden floor so people can walk on it.


So I think we should cut down trees. When someone cuts down a tree you could plant another tree in it's place.

Success Criteria: I am successful when I can tell the feelings of the disciples before the Holy Spirit came.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can add tens together.


Problems:
1. 40 carvings+20 carvings =60 carvings
 I know that 4 tens +2 tens =6 tens
2. 37 bananas +40 bananas=77 bananas
 I know it's 77 because 30+40=70+7=77
3.6+4+2+7+8=27
 I know it's 27 because 6+4=10 2+8=10 so,10+10=20+7=27

Write  a recount.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I write a story about  Katie Glen  and use capital letters and full stop correctly..
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 St. Patrick's School went to the hall. Mrs Dines introduced  Katie Glynn, she is an Olympics Black Sticks Hockey player. Then Katie glyn showed us  some of  the pictures from her Olympics games.She played 134  games and scored 77 goals. 
She told us that she was inspired  by her mum and brother to play hockey .  
Finally we asked  her  questions and she  asked us back.  Lastly, Launoa  said thank you to Katie Glynn.

Learning Intention:W.A.L.T-retell one of the after Easter story.        Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can retell an after Easter stores thru drawing a coming strip.                               
 1. Peter,John,and James went fishing.                                             2. They where fishing all night but caught nothing.                     3.Peter jumped in the water when he saw  Jesus on the shore and he swam to him.

Learning Intention:W.A.L.T-Write a report                                       Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can write a report about whales.                                                                                                                                                                                             Whales are mammals.  Whales  live in water.                            Their babies are born alive.                                                                                                                                                                   Whales  are very big.                                                                   Whales have a fish shape.                                                           
The blue whales are the largest whales.                                                                                                                                               
Whales use their flippers and large tail to move.                     Whales have fins to balance.                                                                                                                                                                           Whales live in oceans.                                                                         Whales can survive in both warm and cold water.

Dear heavenly father please help the builders to build our class room.  Thank you for giving us families, friends and cousins. Thank you for all the creations you made for us like trees, animals, flowers, grass. Pleas help me to be respectful, kind, and helpful . Amen.
