Sailing!
On the 10/5/21 we got the best oppurtunity to go sailing. We packed all of our stuff that we needed which was spare clothes, towel, food and water. The bus trip was very long but we finally made it.
The instructors told us safety rules and what to do. All of us had to assemble the parts and yes we did get a little bit of help. After we finished assembling our sails the instructors called us over to show how to make the sails go right to left. Finally we got to wear our swim suits and wet suit on top of it. We had to take the boats down which was really hard on the slippery concrete.
We got in the boats. The instructors were in another faster boat to help us out. It was one of the most fun experiences in my life! Most of us fell out of the boats . . . it was so much fun falling out!
Sadly our time came to an end. Sailing was so much better than I thought it would be, I would be glad to try sailing again. I would like to thank St Johns Rotary and Yachting New Zealand for this experience.
