Tupaia was a high priest and navigator who joined James Cook's first voyage at Tahiti to help Cook speak to the Pacific Island people. This week I recreated one of Tupaia's art pieces.
I am a Year 8 student at Saint Patrick's School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Ms. George.

Life cycle of a Maggot-by Deva
Maggots aren't the most experienced creatures, but research shows some have the ability to smell particular aromas, as well as react to light. Fruit fly maggots can't see distinct images, their eyes are known as Bolwig organs that help them detect brightness. Maggots are efficient consumers of dead tissue. They munch on rotting flesh, leaving healthy tissue practically unscathed.
