Watching television does not make us clever -by Deva

Learning Intention W.A.L-how to write persuasive writing.

Success Criteria: I  know I am successful when I can persuade my reader to agree with my arguement.

I think we should not watch television whenever  we wanted to.

I think we should not watch television whenever we wanted to because, kids can have bad eye sight as well for parents. Children should not watch television because some programs has bad words and fighting. Some children watch too much T.V and forget to do their home work. Sometimes kids watch scary movies and get nightmares.

But, sometimes I think television help us learn some things. 

We should watch television sometimes, because some teaches us how to make arts and crafts and how to make things. It tells us about what will be the weather for the day. I think we should watch television sometimes because it helps us to relax.

Multiplication by Deva

Learning intention:W.A.L.T-multiply numbers up to 100.
Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can multiply skip counting,doubles and repeated addition.


Problems:How many marbles are there altogether?                       1)  2 children had 10 marbles each=20  
 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20= I skip counted by 2 10 times.

2)Poppy, Sam and Emma have five marbles each. How many marbles do they have altogether?  15
I know its 15 because I skip counted by five's- 5,10,15.
I multipllied- 5x3=15           
3)Bently ate 3 packets of biscuits. There are ten biscuits in each packet. 30 
I know its 30 because I multiplied-10x3=30. 
I skip counted by my ten's-10,20,30
